Deborah Essés was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she lived until she was 18 years old. Since then she has travelled and lived in different countries. Currently her studio is in Blackheath, London.

"Ever since I started painting as a young artist I have been fascinated by human movement and human psychology: the way people speak, the way they walk, how they dance, how they look – the old, the young, the lazy, the industrious type…"
